About Us

As an early intervention teacher for children with autism, I struggled to find appropriate educational and therapy resources to assist my children. It was difficult to source products in Australia and I refused to pay the outrageous shipping costs from the UK and USA. I soon discovered many teachers, therapists and parents felt the same way. Mudpie was created to meet the needs of parents and professionals working with children with special needs in home and centre based programs.

The name Mudpie comes from my belief that children learn about themselves and the world around them through play and having fun. I remember the joy of squishing mud between my toes and the excitement of finding a wriggly worm. I loved oozing the mud through my hands into baking tins and decorating my mudpies with flowers and pebbles. It is my aim to help parents and professionals have just as much fun helping their children learn through play therapy.
